Introducing Our New VP of Sales, Cameron O'Connell

Cameron O'Connell, Vice President of Sales at Fresh Meal PlanFrom Major League Baseball and IRONMAN all the way to Fresh Meal Plan – we’re excited to introduce our new Vice President of Sales, Cameron O’Connell.

O’Connell, a Florida west coast native from Dunedin, brings a wealth of business development and sales leadership experience to #TeamFresh as well as a passion for health and sports.

“IRONMAN was inspiring to me because of the fact that they change people’s lives,” said O’Connell, a married father of two who worked for IRONMAN in sales for nearly eight years. “I see a correlation between Fresh Meal Plan and IRONMAN. You’re ultimately making a lifestyle change and providing a better outcome for yourself and your family because of the physical and mental health that will equate from making this change in your life.”

Prior to joining the #FreshFamily, O’Connell, a three-time half marathon runner and former collegiate baseball pitcher, also worked in sales for two professional sports teams – the Toronto Blue Jays and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Saint Leo University graduate said he chose to join Fresh Meal Plan because of its current leadership team and the potential to transform the company to a best-in-class industry leader for healthy, prepared meals delivered right to your door.

Before being hired by Fresh Meal Plan, O’Connell said he actually joined the #FMPNation consumer base with meals delivered right to his home in Safety Harbor, Florida.

“The product was excellent,” he said. “Based on my individual circumstances – being a busy working professional, travelling constantly, on the go, eating out – I saw this as an absolute solution for a bulk of working professionals to fitness-minded enthusiasts on a large scale.”

Despite only two weeks with Fresh, O’Connell said he has big plans for the company and #FreshFoodies nationwide.

“My short-term goals are to build out a sustainable enterprise strategy where we can align and partner with like-minded businesses and companies,” said O’Connell. “I see us developing a corporate wellness offering where we’re providing a solution to working professionals where they can have convenient, affordable, healthy lunch options delivered to their office or home, which allows for increased productivity, higher energy levels and a better overall nutritional outcome.”
